Hello! I used to live in Houston (but I went to Bellaire), class of 70 also! I was looking for a friend of mine who went to Lee, I think, and came across your website. Looks like you had a great reunion last year!!


Anyway, I was wondering if you might have any information about her, or know anyone who might. Her name was Grace McLane, and I think she was a few years younger, maybe class of 73. She had several older brothers, one of whom died young from melanoma; his name was Charlie. Her father, I think, was a pastor, but I'm not 100% sure of this.


I was very close to Grace for about 8 years, and then we lost touch; you know how it goes. I've been trying to find her recently and haven't had any luck. If you know her, or know anyone who knows her, I'd appreciate it if you could somehow get word to her that I'm looking for her; I certainly wouldn't expect you to give me any info about her without her consent.


My name, at least the one she would remember, was Leslie Fowler. My previous husband and I were friends with Grace when she was married to Johnny Jefferis, and then to her second husband, Bill Insall (or Insell). I know she had a son during her second marriage, then we lost contact. It was in the late 70's or early 80's.


My email is set up so that only people on my safe senders list can email me (too much spam, too little filtering by Comcast!) so you'd be the only one who could email me in reply. If you should somehow know her, you could email me with her contact information if she cares to give it to you to give to me.


I know this must seem strange, but I'm really trying hard to find my friend and hope you can help me. If not, that's totally ok. I understand completely.

Perhaps if someone is a member they could look her up (the class of 1973) and email her.
